Entrance

Present entry pass and ID to enter the Auschwitz Museum. You need ID only at this point.

Metal objects are inspected like at airports. Put your mobile, devices, purse etc. into a blue container and walk through the gates.

Inside the reception building

Wait for your guide and others. Hide your ID as you don’t need it anymore.

Scan your ticket last time and go downstairs to get your headset.

More on the ground floor

WC is behind the security gates on the left. The corridor ends where the first tour part ends. That way you can enter before leaving.

At the information desk you can ask for advice and get some brochures. Individual visitors can get their tour stickers there.

After the information desk on the right you can enter the bookshop. On a tour for individuals it is advised to get a guidebook.

Near the bookshop you can get sandwiches, snacks and coffee from a coffeemaker. There are also some snack vending machines.

Interactive information boards and a currency exchange desk are also available.

Downstairs

Guides check headsets and, on the way, present the regulations and program.
